Product description:

Pyrolysise Ltd. (trading as GreenMine) has developed a patented Waste Carbonisation Plant (WCP) technology that processes unsorted municipal and medical waste into clean energy products and recyclables, with zero toxic emissions.

🔬 How the Technology Works

            Carbonisation Process:

•          Waste is heated in a controlled, oxygen-free environment.

•          This prevents combustion and instead breaks down waste into carbon-rich products.

•          Unlike incineration, it avoids harmful emissions and particulates.

            Inputs:

•          Can handle unsorted municipal solid waste, plastics, and even medical waste.

•          One pilot plant currently processes 10% municipal solid waste and 90% plastics, but the system is adaptable to different waste streams.

            Outputs (Offtakes):

•          Bio-Coal – a solid fuel substitute for traditional coal.

•          Bio-Char – used in agriculture for soil enrichment and carbon sequestration.

•          Bio-Oil – including lignin, with potential industrial and chemical applications.

•          Mineral Recyclables – aluminium, iron, copper, bronze and other metals including REE (rare earth elements), glass, and minerals recovered for reuse.

Energy & Environmental Benefits

•          Zero Emissions: The process is designed to be emissions-free, avoiding toxic gases and particulates.

•          Carbon Sequestration: Bio-char acts as a long-term carbon sink, locking carbon into soils.

•          Green Baseload Power: Plants generate electricity and heat for municipal grids.

•          Landfill Mining: Technology enables direct processing of landfill waste, reclaiming contaminated land for redevelopment (Step 3 of the Three step GreenMine strategy)

🏭 Pilot & Scale-Up

•          Pilot Programme: Two UK industrial sites have been identified for 3 tonnes/hour WCPs, targeting operational readiness by Q3 2026.

•          Engineering Partner: Stopford, a UK engineering consultancy, is supporting site due diligence, compliance, and performance monitoring, with support from Non-Executive Director Chris Farmer.

•          Scalability: Plants are modular and can be adapted to different waste compositions, making them suitable for both municipal and industrial applications.

📌 Key Technical Distinction

Unlike incineration or gasification, Pyrolysise’s WCP avoids combustion entirely, meaning:

•          No dioxins, furans, or other toxic by-products.

•          Greater flexibility in handling mixed waste streams.

•          Valuable by-products instead of ash or slag.

In short: Pyrolysise’s waste carbonisation technology is a closed-loop, emissions-free system that transforms landfill and municipal waste into energy and recyclable materials, while simultaneously reclaiming land for redevelopment. It’s positioned as a game-changing alternative to incineration and landfill disposal, with environmental benefits over pyrolysis as it can handle unsorted waste and work with temperatures up to 1200ºC (medical waste).

Investor information:

Funding Progress

•          Our £500,000 bridge round is underway, supporting due diligence and acquisition of a UK Waste Management Business (WMB).

•          This acquisition will secure feedstock supply and operational infrastructure, positioning us for a larger institutional raise in 2026.

Technology Deployment

•          Two UK industrial sites have been identified for pilot Waste Carbonisation Plants (WCPs), each capable of processing 3 tonnes/hour of unsorted waste.

•          Target operational readiness: Q3 2026.

•          These pilots will validate performance, emissions-free operation, and offtake value streams (bio-coal, bio-char, bio-oil, mineral recyclables).

Strategic Roadmap

1.         Complete WMB acquisition under Letter of Intent.

2.         Commission pilot WCPs to demonstrate scalability and commercial viability.

3.         Launch institutional funding round to accelerate national rollout.

Impact & Opportunity

•          Landfills contribute ~4% of UK greenhouse gas emissions. GreenMine’s WCPs directly address this challenge by reclaiming contaminated land while producing clean energy.

•          Our technology offers municipalities and industry partners a cost-effective, emissions-free alternative to incineration.

📌 Bottom Line

Pyrolysise’s WCP is a cleaner, more efficient, and more versatile alternative to incineration, especially for municipalities looking to reduce landfill reliance and generate renewable energy. Its ability to process unsorted waste and produce valuable offtakes makes it a strong candidate for next-generation waste-to-energy infrastructure.
