  • A Simple Introduction to O-Hx and EnergiVault.

Cooling and Energy Storage Technology combined

ENERGIVAULT CAN REDUCE INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL CHILLER COOLING COSTS BY CIRCA 80%

They achieve this though coating ice spheres with a nanotech wrapper, stopping the build-up of solid ice, which increases surface area by a multiple of 500. This increases cooling efficiency by roughly 60%.

By increasing cooling capacity by circa 50 times, they create a cold storage battery and by adding AI, EnergiVault can be “charged” when electricity prices are cheap or negative. We estimate another 20% decrease in costs. Of course, the energy storage capability aids renewables proliferation. EnergiVault can be used as a stand-alone installation or can be integrated in existing cooling installations.

ENERGIVAULT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO REDUCE GLOBAL EMISSIONS BY ROUGHLY 4%.

Globally, cooling is responsible for 10% of global emissions, half of which is commercial and half industrial. An 80% reduction in power usage with a skew towards polluting countries means very roughly, at full chat, a reduction in global emissions of circa 4%.

We estimate EnergiVault will break even in two to four years. Priced at circa £200,000 for a 1 MW system, with a forecast market size of $7.9B, we anticipate a rapid take-up, which means a fast reduction in global emissions and a win-win scenario.

Introducing funding round 1 (Q2 2022,) and funding round 2 (Series A)

After a very successful funding round 1, (direct funding and Crowdcube, oversubscribed, O-Hx on Crowdcube, funding round 1) at share price £0,08, and completing milestones 1 to 4, funding round 2 (Series A) has now started for direct and institutional Investments, at share price £0,32 for milestone 5. Projected share value for milestone 16 (Feb. 2026) is £5,91.

Updates January 2023:

  • The commercial EnergiVault demonstration unit has been installed and commissioned followed by an initial 3-month trial period, with results soon to be visible in real time on the internet.
  • Payback for EnergiVault users estimated to be within 1-3 years based on current electricity prices. The higher and more volatile electricity prices become the faster the payback.
  • UK and Australian patents granted, EU and the rest of the world applied, secured and expected to follow soon.
  • In 2023 the first 10 EnergiVault systems are expected to be produced, sold and installed in the UK.
